Do you need a musical performance that's professional and logistically low-maintenance? Bam! We're your band! Read on to find out how easy and affordable it is to book a private event with Steven Courtney Band of Friends. WHAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL THE BAND PLAY? We are so diverse that we scare ourselves. We think our friend Fred McNaughton summed it up when he said, "Americana—rock ’n’ roll, blues, folk, bluegrass, old-time music, and soul— and this band can do it with authority." Fred McNaughton~ radio personality We play cover tunes and originals. Dylan, The Beatles, The Band, Tom Petty plus we play a bunch of songs that you haven't heard in awhile. Basically, we play feel good music and no one has ever been harmed by it. WILL I NEED TO HIRE A P.A.? No. For a small gathering of 75 folks or less...probably no PA will be needed. But most events do need sound reinforcement and when there's a band involved or a wider space than a small quiet room to cover, it's essential. So, the band will bring it's own system if needed. HOW FAR FROM HOME WILL THE BAND TRAVEL? If you have a condo in South America and you want to pay for our tickets and all expenses...we'll fly down and put on a great show for you. But mainly we book events within a 200 mile range from Lancaster, PA. WHAT WILL IT COST? Pub gigs are usually booked within the normal house fee's paid. (Wink.wink.) We've been gigging for a long time. We get it. For a private party or a house concert contact us and we can discuss the performance options. HOW LONG WILL THE BAND PLAY? We can play three 45 minute sets or two 75 minute sets. Or we can play fifteen 12 minute sets. It really depends on what you need. We've done it all.
